Bevel Gear Module
This module allows the machining of all DIN-standard bevel gears, Gleason, Klingelnberg or even special-toothed bevel on a 5-axis machining center. Thereby the user has always full control over process technology and machining sequence.
To assure optimum cutting conditions for the tools, and for optimizing the machining strategies, machining steps may be created individually.
Creation of tool paths: The calculation is based upon the exact CAD data and leads to optimum tool paths. Modifications inside the software allow one to control the process according to your conditions and needs.
Direct input of parameters for straight bevel gears
The definition of the geometry of a straight bevel gear pair is entered step-by-step using standardized gear parameters. The user-friendly interface guides you through the entire geometry definition up to the input of flank modifications
The design of the bevel gear pair can be selected between three different cases:
1. Face, pitch and root apex are in one point
2. Only pitch and root apex are in one point. The distance to the crossing point can be edited on page Calculated data.
3. Face, pitch and root apex are not in one point. The distance to the crossing point can be edited on page Calculated data.
Straight bevel gears according to Gleason and Klingelnberg can also be defined by the different designs.
With the adjustable tooth thickness it is possible to calculate certain toothing parameters and also a tooth flank clearance.
Input of the bevel gear parameters via KISSsoft
The definition of the bevel gear pair and design is done by an external program developed by our partner KISSsoft.
The interface within EUKLID GearCAM allows the generated KISSsoft file to be read in quickly and easily. The most important gearing parameters are displayed immediately.
The geometry is generated in EUKLID GearCAM on the basis of the gear parameters read in and you can create the machining steps and design your program as usual.
Input of bevel gear parameters via measuring grid import
The definition of the bevel gear pair and the design is done by an external program which can generate a measuring grid file in ASCII format. For example, the measuring grid may have been created with the calculation software of a gear machine manufacturer.
The measuring grid can be imported quickly and easily via the interface within EUKLID GearCAM. The most important gearing parameters are displayed immediately.
The geometry is generated in EUKLID GearCAM on the basis of the read-in measuring grid data and can then be modified in the root area according to production requirements. It is also possible to define a protuberance and a grinding allowance on the flanks (contour in red).
The resulting geometry is automatically generated in EUKLID GearCAM with highest precision.
