EUKLID Module for Gear Wheels: A revolution in accuracy and economy
In the past, gearing was of little importance for CAD/CAM systems. EUKLID GearCAM now offers an easy to use module for the economical manufacturing of gear wheels on universal milling machines, e.g. for prototype wheels, for special purpose wheels or as replacements in a large gear box. The manufacture of gear wheels is an extremely demanding process since high precision is required. The user, therefore, asks for a system, which supports him reliably and effectively.
Each type of gear is based on specific parameters, which must comply with different standards. In addition, a variety of corrections exist for the flanks of the tooth. EUKLID GearCAM provides a simple way to enter the data and save any state of a project without loss of accuracy. This is the base for full control of the input, for simulation of gear wheel movements and for the machining process. Though largely generated automatically, the user can modify the milling programs, allowing for individual adaptations according to his experience. The fact that EUKLID GearCAM is logical and easy to use, which has been confirmed by experts, cannot hide the fact that the user must have the appropriate knowledge of the gear wheel to be machined.
